Individualized Approach

EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy is a structured approach designed to help individuals process and integrate traumatic memories. This dual-attention process helps to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, allowing the brain to reprocess the event in a less distressing way.

Emotionally Focused Therapy

EFT is grounded in attachment theory, which suggests that humans are inherently relational beings who thrive on secure emotional connections. In practice, EFT helps clients identify and transform the core emotional responses that drive their relational patterns.

Embodied Processing Techniques

This therapy aims to harness the power of the autonomic nervous system, particularly the vagus nerve, to enhance emotional regulation, social engagement, and overall well-being. Techniques in polyvagal therapy might include exercises that stimulate the vagus nerve, such as controlled breathing, vocal exercises, or even listening to specially designed sound frequencies that target the neural pathways correlated to social behavior and self-regulation. This therapy seeks to move individuals from states of fight, flight, or freeze and into a state of calm, safe, social connectedness by retraining the body's automatic response to perceived threats.

Safe and Sound Protocol

SSP is a therapeutic intervention designed to enhance emotional regulation, social engagement, and physiological calm by applying principles from the Polyvagal Theory. SSP uses specifically filtered music to stimulate the vagus nerve through the auditory system, aiming to shift the body from states of distress or defense to feelings of safety and social connection.
